In an effort to bring all of the Member Churches closer together and to act as the worldwide home for all followers of the Wesleyan tradition, the World Methodist Council has re-launched their website, which is located at.
The site, which features links to all of the Member Churches as well as pages devoted to the World Methodist Museum as well as the Youth and Young Adult Ministries, hopes to not only inform people about who the World Methodist Council is and what they do, also hopes to be a place where visitors can find the up-to-the-minute calls to prayer and service from the organization’s General Secretary, Ivan Abrahams as well as news from all of the members of the worldwide Methodist/Wesleyan family.
In conjunction with the re-launch of the website, the World Methodist Council is making a continued effort to increase their presence in other forms of social media, including their homes on both Facebook and Twitter. Through these sounding boards, the Council hopes to increase their visibility and to let people know of their mission to be a uniting force of the followers of John Wesley throughout the world and that newcomers to both the organization and our faith can discover a deeper spirituality, participate in theological discourse, learn more about the Wesleyan/Methodist heritage, witness and mission and be challenged to bend the moral arc of the universe towards healing, transformation and justice.
