As autumn begins in earnest in the southern United States, time has begun to prepare the Susanna Wesley Prayer Garden for another beautiful year. The garden, located on the campus of the World Methodist Council’s International Headquarters in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina, was created to be a place of contemplation and prayer for the residents of the area as well as the visitors of the World Methodist Council and of the Lake Junaluska Assembly.
Each year the garden provides countless hours of enjoyment for visitors as well as a venue to hold outdoor meetings and weddings. This year’s addition of the John Wesley Primitive Physick Herb Garden for Holistic Healing provides another resource for friends and guests in the community to harvest their own herbs from the garden.
As the weather cools and the plants begin their quiet retreat into the winter, please consider donating towards the future beautification of the gardens. Any gift received will ensure that future visitors to the World Methodist Council or Lake Junaluska will be able to enjoy the beauty and serenity that nature provides us all.
