The World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women will hold their 13th World Assembly concurrently with the World Methodist Conference in Houston, Texas USA.
World Methodist Council General Secretary Ivan Abrahams said of the news “We welcome the news that the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women are holding their meetings during our gathering. We welcome them as family, allies in mission and as important voices within our faith.”
World Federation President Ann Connan added “the theme for the World Methodist Conference is ‘One’; one family, one faith, one baptism, one table, one Lord. So our sharing in Houston becomes peculiarly appropriate.”
The World Federation Executive meeting and the Helen Kim Memorial Scholars’ program will be on August 27th and 28th. Registration for the Assembly will be on Monday, August 29th, with the Opening of Assembly that night. The Thirteenth World Assembly will last through Saturday evening, September 3rd.
The World Methodist Conference will take place from August 31 – September 4.
