The Inaugural Christian Unity Gathering will be held at the Hilton Washington Dulles in Herndon, VA outside Washington, DC May 18-20, 2014. The event will be a celebration of ecumenism. The NCC currently has two priorities: interreligious relations with a focus on peace and mass incarceration. Public sessions at the CUG will be an opportunity to learn more about Mass Incarceration and what we can do together to help contribute to a solution to this crisis.
The program will include ample opportunity for all attendees to engage with one another through group discussion, input from expert resource people to help inform our discussion, and celebratory service with words from the new President and General Secretary Jim Winkler and interfaith guests.
Those interested in attending can visit the event’s website.
