After two and a half years serving as Communications Director for the World Methodist Council, Jason Bugg is leaving the organization.
Citing a desire to return to his previous career as a journalist, Jason announced his intention to pursue other endeavors in late January.
“For nearly three years I’ve dedicated myself to helping the Council spread its message of unity and community, and I am eternally thankful. This job has been one that has helped me become more aware of the world around me and how faith makes strangers into family, and for that I am forever grateful,” said Jason Bugg in a statement.
Jason first joined the Council in June of 2012 and has spent his time building relationships with other church organizations and their communications departments as well as working to improve the World Methodist Council’s presence on the internet and social media.
“Jason has been a valuable member of our headquarters staff in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. We wish him the best in all of his future pursuits,” said General Secretary Ivan Abrahams in a statement.
