As Nigeria’s Abia State prepared for Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the President of Vision Africa World-Wide and 2013 Global Peace Award Winner, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, and the Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Habila Joshak, appeared on a LIVE radio programme of Vision Africa Radio, 104.1FM Umuahia to make a final appeal for peaceful elections in Abia State.
According to the police, all areas likely to foment trouble during the polls had been identified in Abia State and the police are not leaving any stone unturned to ensure that such flash-points are effectively monitored and diffused.
In his contribution, Bishop Sunday Onuoha appealed to Abians on the need to be orderly and peaceful during the voting since violence is no alternative to peace. Bishop Onuoha appealed to the electorate to conduct themselves responsibly as they vote for candidates of their choice.
