Following the deadly plane crash in Medellin, Columbia on 29 November, which killed 71 people including members of Futebol Chapacoense, journalists, and the flight crew, the College of Bishops of the Methodist Church in Brazil have issued a statement to the families and loved ones of the victims of this tragic accident.  

A unique festival of faiths was held earlier this month in Victoria, Australia with support from the Uniting Church in Australia’s Synod of Victoria and Tasmania.  The festival seeks to bring together those of different faiths to help build understanding, relationship, and combat all forms of discrimination.
