It is with great sadness that WMC received the news that Bishop Emeritus Federico J Pagura passed away on 6 June, 2016, in Argentina. The former bishop of the Evangelical Methodist Church of Argentina was an advocate for peace and human rights. He was the WCCPresident from 1998-2006.
He also served for 17 years as president of the Latin American Council of Churches (CLAI). In addition to his ministry and advocacy, Pagura was a poet, writing many songs and poems speaking to injustice, suffering, and hope for rebirth.
